Singers in Disguise

The surprise act

Singers in Disguise

They look like your waiters. Your cops. Your guests. Then they open their mouths.

Our signature surprise act. World-class singers hide in plain sight as waiters, police officers, firefighters, chefs — even planted guests — and then erupt into song. Nobody sees it coming.

This is the act that built the company, and it still gets the biggest reaction in the room. The premise is simple: the entertainment is already there, working the floor, and nobody knows it.

A waiter drops a tray. A police officer walks in and asks who owns the car outside. The chef storms out of the kitchen mid-service. A guest at table nine faints and another guest rushes over to help. Then one of them starts singing — and the room realises, all at once, what is actually happening.

We can be in disguise as almost anything you can get a costume for. The classics are waiters, chefs, police officers and firefighters. But we have been the vicar, the long-lost aunt, the security guard on the door and the doctor who resuscitates a fainting guest so the two of them can burst into a duet.

The reveal is stagecraft, and it is rehearsed with your venue and your event staff so the timing lands perfectly. Then the disguises come off and it becomes a full concert.

Formats

How it can run.

Singing waiters

The original. They serve your dinner, then they steal the show.

Uniform reveal

Police, fire or military arrive on 'official business'. It goes very differently to what your guests expect.

Planted guests

They are seated at the tables, in normal clothes, laughing along — until one of them stands up.

Bespoke disguise

If we can get the costume, we will play the character. Tell us the idea and we will build the reveal around it.

Without a doubt the best surprise act of this type on the market.

It is the only time in the thirteen years of our Annual Dinner that there has been a standing ovation. You certainly supplied the WOW factor on the night.

Singers in Disguise — your questions

How does the surprise actually work?

We arrive early, in character, and blend into your event as staff or guests. Your venue and planner are briefed; your guests are not. At an agreed moment we break into song. The reveal is fully rehearsed so the timing is exact.

Do our guests really not know?

Correct — and that is what makes it. In fifteen years of doing this, the reaction is always the same: total disbelief, then the room comes apart.

What disguises can you do?

Waiters and waitresses, chefs, police officers, firefighters, security, military, clergy, doctors and planted party guests. If you can source the costume, we can play the character.

How many singers do we need?

Two singers works beautifully for an intimate dinner. Four to six is the sweet spot for a wedding or corporate gala. We will advise based on your room and guest count.

Do you need to co-ordinate with our venue?

Yes, and we handle it. We speak to your venue, planner and catering manager directly so the disguise holds and the reveal lands on cue.
